Introducing the Site Developer
Hello and Welcome to FamilyNight.org. My Name is Ralph Porter
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and list some of my goals.
I have other Web sites and BLOGS but feel impressed to include my personal details here.
I was born on January 11th 1951 at 10:10 AM in Murray Utah.
My Mother is Beth Jordan, and My Father Garth Porter.
I am third in a family of seven children.
My Brothers Edwin, Ronald, and David (Now Santa Clause).
My Sisters Beth-Ann, Becky and Merilynn.
I married my beautiful Wife Patricia Ann Tuers on July 25th 1975.
I Have own Son. Brennen who was born March 4th 1984.
I grew up In Murray, Utah
I graduated from Murray High School.
Higher education includes training at Utah Technical College and Brigham Young University.
I Served a mission for my Church in Canada and Served my country in the Air Force.
My jobs stem from custodial and grounds crew to electronic technician and software engineer.
At this moment I am unemployed following a layoff in December. I am striving to become an entrepreneur.
I currenty live in Spring City, Utah.
FamilyNight.org is one of several web sites I am working on. I will discuss others in a future post.
I believe in offering my talents to the community. Thats one reason I started this web site. It is currently very simple but I have plans to improve it and add new features. The services on this site are free.
I am working on another site that I hope will produce income so I can pay my bills.
Currently my biggest concern is coming up with money for insurance since there is health issues in my family that needs to be addressed. If you find content on this site useful a donation would be greatly appreciated. Please note we are not a registered charity so donations are not tax deductable.
My goals for FamilyNight.org is to provide tools to strengthen the family. The name comes from the Family Night program practiced by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This site is not affiliated with the church. That said the site does adhere to standards set by the church and includes principles the church teaches.
I sincerely hope to get input and content from site users that will be helpful to all who use it.
If you would like to volunteer as a team member for this site please let me know.
Showing You Really Care
Its easy to go from day to day thinking our spouse, children and friends know how much we really appreciate them.
In real life we need to express our thoughts to others so they get a constant reinforcement of the feelings you really have.
One way to silently express our feelings is to leave notes to our spouse and children telling them we really do care for and appreciate them is to leave notes where they are sure to find them.
